Why? Because it is
the best looking, fully featured gobbler decoy on the market. It's
body position is enticing, but not as intimidating as a full strut decoy, which makes it
quite effective at pulling in gobblers.
Gobblers
can often be lured in with a decoy like
this because they want the company of other males, especially in the earlier part and
later part of the season,...and also because they are aggressive and want to keep
other mature gobblers out of the area and away from hens. Often, they are just very
happy being with other males, and will come to a gobbler decoy when they won't come to a
hen decoy. I particularly like this decoy because of the body conformation, and the
head. The head is molded from a real gobbler's head, and is
the most realistic-looking one available. The paint job is
superb. Gobblers can see that this guy is one of their buddies from a long distance.
The Decoy
Expander stake system is great because as
the vegetation grows, the stake adjusts to a longer length, keeping the
decoy visible to approaching gobblers. It also keeps the decoy fully expanded,
despite high winds, which may collapse other decoys.
But you haven't seen anything
until you try this guy. Used alone or in conjunction with a couple of Hot Hens, Feeding Hot Hens,
a Jake, or a Feeding Hot Hen Movement Decoy
, it will lure in toms, when other set ups won't.
Without reservation, I can
recommend this decoy for effectiveness. Now all you need to do is decide whether to roast or barbecue your
gobbler...there's no question you'll get one!"
Safety Tip: Be
very careful when using this product. It is so realistic that it will attract other
hunters as well as gobblers. Other hunters in the area will mistake this for the
real thing, so when you know others are in the area, be super careful or don't use it
until you think they have left the area
